Full / Part Time Mover - Job Description


M.K. Movers is an independent moving company conveniently located in Batavia. Staffed with detail-oriented professional movers, M.K. Movers plans and coordinates the move to exceed customer needs. M.K. Movers is dedicated to detail and to making each move a success. Every move is different which is why attention to detail is key as an M.K. Movers employee. Our goal is to provide excellent customer service and a worry-free move.



Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Employees are asked to work holidays when necessary. M.K. Movers employees work in a variety of locations and homes, with travel between cities.
  • Need to be able to work as a team to provide the best possible experience and overall customer service.
  • Employees MUST pay attention to detail at all times. As an M.K. Movers employee, you must pay attention to detail and strive to transport items without damage.
  • When necessary, you will be asked to disassemble furniture, such as beds, so it fits through doorways or into an elevator.

We are looking for people that are clean cut, professional, hardworking, self-motivated, reliable and can pass a background check.



Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Professional attitude and demeanor.
  • Experience in the fields of general labor, landscaping, construction or warehouse helpful.
  • Strong logic and mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers and decimals.  Ability to perform these operations using units of dollars, weight measurement, volume, distance and time).
  • Stamina to lift heavy items (100 lbs or more) repeatedly while climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, walking, etc.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Valid drivers license and good driving record.
  • C-Driving license preferred, not required.
  • Starting, you will be between 20-40 hours, once summer is in full season, hours will range from 40-60.
  • Be hard working, detail oriented, a team player, and reliable.

Required Qualifications:


Starting hourly rate is $16.50 an hour for 90 days, upon completion of 90 days and no disciplinary action, there can be a discussion for a small increase.


After 90 days you will be eligible for benefits including health, dental, and vision as well as PTO. After one year of employment you will also be able to take advantage of our 401K program with company match as well.


If you have previous moving experience your pay has the possibility to be increased.
Candidates who qualify with C-Driving License may be entitled to additional pay.
